The art of Farid

Farid joined the Academie de la Grande Chaumiere in Paris in 1967. 

In the 1980s he had multiple art exhibitions in Beirut, Basel, Geneva, Montreal, New York and others cities. 

While Farid had a long and successful career as an engineer, art has always played a key role in his life. 

His work with blueprints and straight lines impacted his artistic style with the use of curves and colors. He was also very much influenced by impressionism grand artists and Islamic Art. He has dedicated a series "Hommage a Wasiti" and his work frequently represents calligraphy in an abstract form. Alzheimer's nightmare was then expressed in his art as he was still able to paint while his other functions were impaired.
