Art with ALZHEIMER'S

The Brain, The Heart, The Art

Farid lived a fulfilling life, both professionally and personally. The moments of joy he was able to cherish are clearly reflected in his works. To convey happiness and positivism he chose to use bright colors and pastels on velvet paper.

However, after being diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease in 1993, heaven started to look more like hell as much in reality as in his paintings. He got trapped in a nightmare that had no end.

The below collection expresses his state of mind and emotions while going through this horrible episode in his life.

We tried to juxtapose both periods of his life to showcase and mirror the effects of Alzheimer’s disease on the artist’s everyday life and paintings.
